For the British Canoeing Sea Kayak Leader training course, moderate water sea guidance notes can be found here and here.
Over a four-day course, we aim to exceed the training requirements for this award and go into more depth, allowing more time for reflection, discussion and being out on the sea in a mix of conditions.
If you want this course to be registered with British Canoeing you gain 20 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points. In that case, you will need to let Roger know. British Canoeing Awarding Body training courses and awards will automatically update your record with CPD points. More info is here.

Thanks, Roger, great week. Feel like I've moved on so much in lots of ways.
Cheers, Gordon - Cheshire.
Thank you very much for the nice pictures and the course. Three days proved to be really valuable for me and gave me extra motivation to continue in the BC performance & leadership awards system.
All the best, Mikk - Estonia

Great day with Sally working on boat handling, reading the water and its ok to feel uncomfortable.
Cemaes to Bull Bay was perfect, with wind with tide and then wind against by the afternoon so we got a few waves and a nice push along the coast.
It was nice to see Rob again too. Thanks for helping with the shutle! "There are a number of wonderful things about Roger. He has a very light touch in his coaching, and he's always smiling and encouraging you to relax into the enjoyment of the day"
"And I'm probably learning more from his mentoring now, as my paddling horizons expand, than ever before. I can't count how many questions I've asked... and he's answered. Roger has the knack of making that suggestion that radically changes your thinking and moves your paddling on in leaps and bounds."
"I've just completed a two day 4* Sea kayak training course with Roger. Having been coached by Roger in the past, I choose to do this course with Roger because I knew I would get a great deal from the course. My expectations were certainly well and truly met"
